The Search for the best Promotional Video for Iloilo City

Good news to video enthusiasts and aspiring videographers!

The Iloilo City Tourism Council (ICTC) is scouting for the best tourism promotional videos to showcase and strengthen emerging tourist potentials of the metropolis.

The competition is divided into three categories including 5-minute feature, 3-minute feature, and 30-second teaser/ad.

The contest is open to all video enthusiasts and each category will have top three winners – first, second and third placers.

The winning entries may become the city’s official promotional to be loop-played in terminals, airport and ports.

All entries should be geared towards tourism, highlighting an Ilonggo cultural or religious practice, arts, food, product, heritage and history, places, interests, or a combination focusing on the tagline “My City, My Pride.”

The entry’s length should be strictly observed in said categories.

All final outputs must include in their credits a listing of major and minor sponsors of the competition to be provided by ICTC.

All entries should be in DVD format with one entry per disc.

They will be judged on the following criteria:
Content (30%) – is the “message” engaging and appropriate to the theme?
Creativity (30%) – is the idea shared innovative and creative?
Execution (25%) – is the use of technology effective and used appropriately to get the message across the audience?
Effect (15%) – is the overall effect achieved in communicating to the audience to be determined by votes from the audience during the public airing.
Five (5) entries from each category will be selected as finalists for public airing to solicit text votes. The venue will be announced soon.

The top winners will be selected from the finalists in each category and will be judged by a group of industry practitioners carefully selected by the organizer.

Part of the judging will be determined by audience’s text votes during the videos airing.

The producers of the winning entries will receive cash prizes of P5,000 – first, P3,000 – second and P2,000 – third placers with a plaque of recognition for all winners and finalists.

All winning entries will become the official property of ICTC.

All decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the competition.
